The Trade Fair for Healthy Walking.
The BAREFooT European Shoe Fair is the first platform in Europe dedicated exclusively to barefoot shoes. Together with the growing community, we are setting new standards for healthy, natural walking. The 3rd Barefoot Shoe Fair will take place in Offenbach from 29 to 31 January 2027.
Messe Offenbach is proud to have created BAREFooT, a trade fair that brings together manufacturers, retailers, and enthusiasts. Together with the HDS/L (Bundesverband der Schuh- und Lederwarenindustrie), we offer a platform specifically tailored to the industry’s needs.
Final Report BAREFooT #2

There are hardly any trade fairs comparable to BAREFooT, especially on this size. I just
think it’s brilliant that people with similar interests are all here together, and I still believe
there’s been a special atmosphere at the fair this year. I still feel very much at home here
and am glad that this fair is open to both customers and retailers. I think the atmosphere
here at the trade fair is brilliant. I hope that a positive mood can be carried back into the
retail sector following this event. The organisation was top-notch once again; we were
given a fantastic stand. We feel very much at home here and we’ll be back for both dates
next year.Dirk Pfeffer

The atmosphere is just brilliant, just like last year. People are in high spirits and the focus
is really on the product. There’s a great atmosphere and it’s really good fun. What you
notice about the customers is that it feels even more international than the first time. It’s
really worth coming here – if only because so many barefoot shoe suppliers are in one
place and the barefoot shoe retailers can get so much information all in one go.Alexander Laubersheimer

Nowadays we consider the Barefoot fair as the place to be. Being here means that we have direct access to most of our big customers from international areas, from different countries. We can all meet in this fair. We were here last season at the first edition and it was a very nice surprise. We are very happy about it. That’s why we are here again, and we will repeat in autumn/winter. I hope that the fair continues to grow, this is good for us as well. This fair has more brands. There are more chances to meet the new retailers. I am happy about that.

It’s always about the product. That’s what makes it so interesting. So the product really is
the main focus. You can see that everyone has their own specific demands, but it’s always
about the product, and that’s the most important thing for a trade fair.Jürgen Schmid

It’s been absolutely amazing to connect with so many people from the community and to help being part of the barefoot revolution and share the love of feet and happy, healthy movement.

We’re a bit surprised by how many international customers are here. We’re really pleased about that. Whether it’s from the north, south, east or west – customers are coming from all over. Our aim for the trade fair was to make contacts, and that’s worked out wonderfully.

We are glad to join this fair. We think BAREFooT is growing bigger and bigger, and many brands, especially from Europe, will join the fair. I think the fair can help more people get to know our shoes.

There are very good vibes and good business here. I hope that the fair is going to be a success every year. The second edition was so good, and it’s great that there is going to be a winter edition next year.

At the last trade fair, we were blown away by our experience as exhibitors. All in all, it was brilliant last time, and it’s brilliant again this time – we’re getting great feedback once more, along with new customers and plenty of other people who are interested. Existing customers are coming back, and what’s also interesting about the trade fair is its international character. The last time we saw that at the GDS was 18 years ago. This is a truly international trade fair, and that’s exactly what BAREFooT has achieved.

We’re doing well, and the atmosphere here is good. We’re happy with the number of customers. To be honest, we couldn’t cope with any more than this. Everyone who comes here knows what it’s all about, and I find that very pleasant.

The mood is generally very, very positive. We have many customers from abroad and the atmosphere is very, very positive. There is also interest from the retail sector. People are looking for new products and, overall, the general mood is very positive. We’re having good discussions with both the industry and the retail sector. It’s quite clearly about being able to discuss barefoot trends.

I think the atmosphere is generally good. There was plenty going on on the first day. We noticed that there were quite a few new customers from the Balkan countries, which we were delighted about. Otherwise, it was a lovely atmosphere, as always. We’re definitely considering taking part again next time.

We’ve had a really great time here at the fair. It’s been good to connect with some of our previous stockists and talk about how we can get our shoes to them in the EU. It’s been really good.

It’s been a really exciting exchange here with the people. One positive thing I’ve noticed is that the contacts we made here last year have come back again. That means it’s not just about making new contacts, but also about building on existing ones. I think the atmosphere is great; people are very friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

We were here with Doghammer a year ago. The trade fair is actually very interesting for us because, of course, retailers who specialise in barefoot shoes also attend. Naturally, the focus on end consumers was very exciting for us, but unfortunately this has now been reduced to just one day.
