The BAREFooT European Shoe Fair is the first platform in Europe dedicated exclusively to barefoot shoes. Together with the growing community, we are setting new standards for healthy, natural walking. The 2nd barefoot shoe trade fair will take place in Offenbach from July 24 to 26, 2026.

Messe Offenbach is proud to have created BAREFooT, a trade fair that connects manufacturers, retailers and enthusiasts. Together with HDS/L (German Federal Association of the Footwear and Leather Goods Industry), we offer a platform tailored specifically to the needs of the industry.

It was a sensational kick-off! We recorded visitors from 41 countries—not only from Europe, but also from overseas. In addition, I am delighted to see exceptionally satisfied exhibitors. The question “When can I register again?” was heard very often, and new exhibitors have already expressed interest in the Barefoot European Shoe Fair. With this trade fair, we struck exactly the right chord. Barefoot shoes are gaining broader traction—this is the beginning of an established event.

The Barefoot European Shoe Fair got off to a great start. The industry came to get informed. Not only the retail trade came to Offenbach, but also industry and service providers. This broad range of visitors brought a great deal of vibrancy to the fair. It was a genuine industry meeting place on a neutral industry platform.

I am delighted with the strong response. The Barefoot trade fair has shown just how great the interest is in healthy, anatomically well-designed and at the same time fashionable barefoot shoes. For the first time, the event offered the international barefoot community a central platform for exchange, networking and inspiration. The public days were also very popular—all masterclasses were fully booked. Particularly valuable: the direct dialogue between manufacturers and end consumers provided important impetus for further product development.

It was a refreshing trade fair, marked by an extremely positive atmosphere and courage. The focus was on interest in the product and a certain curiosity. It was not about margins and sell-through rates, but about the idea and what the product can do. I am surprised by how international the audience is. Many people, including those from far away, came to Offenbach solely for Barefoot. The fair itself is very well designed: open, communicative and bright. You can feel the community growing together. I think the barefoot shoe segment is a seedling that we can nurture. It is not a fashion trend, but a long-term topic. Here to stay.

Kaiserstraße 108-112, 63065 Offenbach am Main

The trade fair city of Offenbach am Main is not only ideally integrated into the transport network, but also directly connected to Frankfurt Airport. The S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S8 and S9 connect Offenbach with Frankfurt city centre and Frankfurt Central Station in under 20 minutes.

In the immediate vicinity, there are paid visitor parking spaces in the Messe Offenbach multi-storey car park and along the River Main, both within a few minutes’ walk.
